welcome
Often it’s the simplest things that reach the deepest!
When everything is spinning do you know how to return to centre, how to catch yourself from falling?
How would it feel to experience a profound sense of support and release in your body? … and to find this simply by returning to the support of the ground?
The breath and the ground are intimately connected… the more we give, the more we receive in every moment.
(ground, gravity, coming home, returning.)
Something magical happens when we get out of our own way and allow things to unfold and sequence naturally without our contriving.
Re-inhabit your body, slow down, listen deeply and find nourishment in re-connecting to your fundamental sense of well-being.

Meet Christine
The practices of Yoga and Somatics support me in all I do in life, whether that is riding my bike up a seemingly relentless hill or helping me to stay grounded and expansive in the face of the daily stresses of life.
Off the mat, contemporary dance, good coffee and being out in wild open spaces all nourish and sustain me.
I feel grateful to all my teachers and students for the tools I have acquired over the years to support me in living a full life.
Christine Howitt has a rare quality of quiet yet powerful presence. She is particularly perceptive in seeing a Yoga student’s key alignment issues and being able to skillfully facilitate new possibilities for ease of movement. Her teaching is grounded and supported by the clear refinement of her own Yoga practice.
I was very moved by your heart-felt class (stone in the ground looking at the sun). Your classes are like installations, I’m so intrigued by how you combine your yoga practice, teaching & art.
